Cadena 3

Cadena 3 is Argentina's federal radio: born in Cordoba on October 5, 1930 as LV3, ten years after the birth of Argentine radio itself, privatized in 1990 and rebuilt as a network that today counts more than seven hundred affiliated stations - a national radio run from the interior, not from the capital.

The format is news and talk around the clock: morning magazines that set Cordoba's agenda, the Radioinforme 3 news block, sports with La Cadena del Gol, and correspondents of its own in Madrid, Miami, Mexico City, Moscow and Rome. In Cordoba it broadcasts on AM 700 and FM 100.5; in Buenos Aires, since 1998, on FM 99.1 - the first interior station to conquer the capital.

The family includes La Popu, the cuarteto station, and Cosquin Rock Radio; the stream and the news portal run at cadena3.com, and the podcasts of the day pile up by the hour. Approaching its centenary in 2030, it remains the rare case of a national network whose heart never left the interior.
