ForoActivo Polymarchs Radio

ForoActivo Polymarchs Radio is a fan-made tribute, born in a forum, as the name confesses, to one of Mexico's loudest cultural exports: Polymarchs, the Mexico City mobile discotheque whose Hi-NRG megamixes, mixed by the late Tony Barrera, soundtracked the 80s and 90s for the generation that danced in the union halls. The station calls itself La Cyberfrecuencia Musical.

The programming is high energy, the genre the sonideros made their own: Italo disco, Hi-NRG and the 12-inch mixes that filled the Discos Musart volumes, twenty-four hours a day, and the BPM never drops below one hundred and twenty. The forum around it keeps the memories, the tracklists and the lore.

The stream runs on its own server, the TuneIn page counts five thousand favorites, and the Android app - by fans, for fans, with a disclaimer that it is not the official Polymarchs - carries it in the pocket. Somewhere, Tony Barrera is still mixing.
