Wyoming Sounds

Wyoming Sounds is a radio service of Wyoming Public Media, part of the University of Wyoming, offering listeners the chance to listen live to its full music-based schedule. Its on-air programming includes the weekday Wyoming Sounds show, airing Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to noon on Wyoming Public Radio. During that time hosts explore contemporary music with strong roots in singer-songwriters, world music, folk, and R&B, with frequent nods to state and regional musicians. 

The service is described as an adult album alternative network, with musical styles ranging from acoustic, folk, blues, soul, reggae, world, and Americana. Wyoming Sounds broadcasts new and older music, including live performances and interviews. It is carried over FM in multiple Wyoming communities and supported by online access. For example, KNWT in Cody operates at 89.1 MHz under the Wyoming Sounds brand. 

Listeners can stream online 24/7 as well as tune in via FM or through HD-3 channels where available. The network provides live streaming options alongside its broadcast footprint, enabling audiences across Wyoming and beyond to listen radio online whenever they like. Music submissions from local artists are welcome, and the programming often includes features such as Song of the Day, listener picks, concert calendars, and studio sessions.
