Rádio Conexão Reggae

Radio Conexao Reggae is a 24-hour reggae web radio run by Coletivo Ocupa Reggae, a collective from Brasília, the federal district. The genre fills the whole dial - Brazilian reggae first, roots and dub included, with international picks such as Hawaii's Mike Love between national favourites.

The station's own chart tells the story: Raiz do Rei, Via-jah, Raiz Tribal, Ponto de Equilibrio - a scene where Brazilian bands share space with Jamaican classics. Around the music, community rituals keep listeners close: a listener of the month, song requests, a prayer chain, podcasts and a news page, plus the donation box that keeps the collective's project on air.

Visitor counts past one million suggest how far the reggae connection reaches. The stream runs around the clock in Portuguese, free web radio to listen online - from the cerrado capital to wherever the message travels.
