About Radio Power Black
Radio Power Black broadcasts from São Paulo with a name that doubles as a format: black music, from the soul and funk of the 70s onward. Its own chart says it best - The Stylistics, Norman Connors, Gil Scott Heron's Detroit and Ruby Andrews - a record collection more than a playlist.
Around the American classics, the dial stretches into the Brazilian side of the family: samba and pagode, hip hop and the soul-influenced wing of Brazilian popular music, across the decades from the 70s into the 2000s. The station's motto keeps the focus honest: aqui o nosso alvo e musica - here, our target is music.
Interaction stays old-school warm: a recados wall where regulars greet the presenter by name, song requests, an Android app and a live board showing who is on air. The stream runs around the clock - free web radio to listen online, black music from São Paulo to the world.
