The Musical Box Radio

The Musical Box Radio is an Argentine institution for a niche audience: the first radio programme in the country devoted entirely to symphonic and progressive rock, broadcasting in Spanish to prog fans everywhere, and regarded by critics as the best Spanish-language show of its kind. Its own motto gives the genre a promotion - the classical music of the 21st century.

The stream runs 24 hours with the best of prog: the legacy bands - Genesis, of course, whose song gave the project its name - beside newer standard-bearers like Big Big Train, studio albums next to great live recordings. Deep cuts are welcome here; this is not a station afraid of a twenty-minute suite. The live programme airs Saturdays from 20:00 to 22:00.

Everything streams from themusicalbox.com.ar, with the programme archive and community around it. For prog fans across the Spanish-speaking world, it has been the meeting point for years.
