Vanguardia FM broadcasts on 101.7 from Puerto Gaboto, a small town on the Parana river in Santa Fe province named after Sebastian Cabot, the navigator who explored these waters five centuries ago, and runs a news portal that presents itself with some pride as the portal of Gaboto to the world. The newsroom covers the town first of all, then the neighboring localities of Oliveros and Maciel and the industrial corridor of the region, before widening the lens to provincial, national and political news.

The service keeps a strong local accent: police reports, society notes and a community agenda sit next to sports coverage that follows the Liga Totorense and the clubs of the area, and the calendar highlights events such as the Festival del Pescado on the riverfront.
