Radio 1 Uno

Radio 1 Uno broadcasts on 105.1 FM from Pico Truncado, an oil town in the province of Santa Cruz, in Argentine Patagonia. Under the slogan la musica del mundo, the station plays a round-the-clock mix of pop, rock and Latin hits, aimed at a broad local audience in the north of the province.

The station is part of the UNORADIO family, which from the same Patagonian base runs La Retro FM 92.5 and a set of thematic online channels, among them Classic Rock and Soul and Blues, as well as Studio Hits, Live Neon and Arcade Zone. The whole group lives online: the FM signal serves Pico Truncado, while the streams carry the music anywhere.

The UNORADIO site also publishes local information, including the weather for Pico Truncado, a sign that the project serves its hometown beyond music. Pico Truncado is one of the historic oil towns of Santa Cruz, grown around the wells of the Canadon Leon field.
