FM Soldados

FM Soldados occupies a special place on the Argentine dial: broadcasting on 87.5 FM in Buenos Aires, the first frequency of the band, it is the official radio of the Argentine Army. It began transmitting in March 1999 as the university radio of the army and has since grown into a full public broadcaster with an institutional voice and a loyal audience.

The schedule mixes informative and cultural content: programs such as Informativo Nuestro Ejercito report on the life of the force, while Cascos Azules is devoted to the Argentine peacekeepers serving abroad. The musical selection favors national artists and Argentine rock. The station also streams live online, so its mix of institutional news, culture and national music can be heard anywhere in the world. Science and technology segments complete a schedule that goes well beyond the institutional.
