Agent 006: The Covert Operative of Electro-Rock

Agent 006 is the enigmatic electro-rock project of Swedish producer and multi-instrumentalist Felix Thorne. Emerging from Stockholm's underground scene, the artist achieved a major commercial milestone when the 2018 album Licensed to Sync was certified gold in Sweden and Germany.

Early career

Felix Thorne formed Agent 006 as a solo venture in 2012, blending his background in punk rock with a newfound fascination for analog synthesizers. The project's first official release was the 2014 EP Quantum of Solacemaker, a limited-run cassette that caught the attention of the independent label Modular Circuit Records.

Breakthrough

The breakthrough arrived in 2017 with the single GoldenEye, which became a sleeper hit on European alternative radio. Its success propelled the subsequent album, Licensed to Sync (2018), to number 12 on the Swedish Albums Chart and led to the aforementioned gold certifications.

Key tracks

GoldenEye — This 2017 single broke the artist on alternative radio with its driving bassline and cinematic tension.

Skyfallout — This 2020 collaboration with vocalist LOVA showcased a more atmospheric, pop-oriented side of the Agent 006 sound.
