Buckcherry: The Unapologetic Force of Hard Rock

Buckcherry is an American hard rock band known for reviving the sleaze and swagger of classic rock in the modern era. The group achieved mainstream success with their multi-platinum single "Crazy Bitch" and their 2006 album 15.

Early career

Buckcherry formed in Los Angeles, California in 1995, founded by vocalist Josh Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1999 on DreamWorks Records, blending gritty rock riffs with a punk-infused attitude that garnered immediate attention.

Breakthrough

The band's major breakthrough came in 2006 with their third studio album, 15, released on Eleven Seven Music. Fueled by the massive commercial success of the raw single Crazy Bitch, the album was certified platinum, selling over one million copies in the United States.

Key tracks

Crazy Bitch - This platinum-selling single became a hard rock anthem and the band's signature track, driving the success of the 15 album.

Sorry - A charting power ballad from 15 that showcased the band's melodic range and earned significant radio airplay.

Lit Up - The opening track from their 1999 debut, it immediately established their hedonistic, riff-heavy sound.

Gluttony - A track from the ambitious 2010 album All Night Long that exemplifies their unrelenting rock energy.

Following 15, Buckcherry continued to release albums consistently, including Black Butterfly (2008) and Confessions (2013), while weathering several lineup changes. The core duo of Todd and Nelson remained the creative force until Nelson's departure in 2017, after which the band persevered, continuing to tour and record new material that adhered to their established hard rock and heavy metal ethos.

Fans of Buckcherry's aggressive style may also enjoy Sixx:A.M., which shares a similar Los Angeles rock heritage. The raw energy of Airbourne delivers a comparable high-octane live experience.
