Ramblers: The Heartland Rock Revivalists
Ramblers are an American rock band known for their gritty, anthemic sound that blends classic heartland rock with modern alternative edge. Hailing from Chicago, the group achieved mainstream success with their 2018 album Midwestern Skyline, which charted on the Billboard 200 and spawned a certified Gold single.
Early career
The band formed in 2012 when vocalist/guitarist Mike Corrigan and drummer Leo Vance began playing local dive bars. Their self-released EP, Gravel Roads, in 2014, caught the attention of independent label Rustbelt Records, which signed them the following year.
Rustbelt released their debut full-length, Steel Town Echoes, in 2016. The album established their signature sound but saw limited commercial reach, setting the stage for a more polished follow-up effort.
Breakthrough
The band's breakthrough arrived in 2018 with their sophomore album, Midwestern Skyline, released through a distribution deal with Capitol Records. The lead single, Rust and Revival, became a staple on rock radio, eventually earning a RIAA Gold certification for over 500,000 units sold.
Midwestern Skyline peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200, a significant jump from their debut. This success was bolstered by a relentless touring schedule, including opening slots for larger acts.
