FromSoftware Being Purchased by Sony? Simpson's Hit & Run 2 Electric Boogaloo?

FromSoftware Being Purchased by Sony? Simpson's Hit & Run 2 Electric Boogaloo?

Author: Sheridan Media December 3, 2024 Duration: 1:03:23

Welcome to Active Reload! This week James and Grant open the show talking about the pretty big news that From Software's parent company, Kadokawa Corporation, confirmed they have received a buyout offer from Sony. No decision has been made yet, however, could this change the lineup and configuration of one of the industries best developers? Also, Simpson's Hit & Run lead designer Joe McGinn came out and stated that beloved series was basically greenlit for at least three more sequels, unfortunately the idea was killed by publisher Vivendi Games. James and Grant ponder what multiple Simpson's Hit and Run's could've looked like. Finally, it was more bad news for another former Mass Effect veteran with Casey Hudson announcing the closing of his studio, was slated to make another "AAA sci-fi" game. The guys discuss the seemingly domino type fall of former Mass Effect developers and their studios since the disassembly of the original Bio Ware. Remember to rate, follow, like and subscribe!
