Author: Gino Shelile September 30, 2024 Duration: 15:39

In S2 Episode 7, we reviewed what was new on Africa’s biggest streamer, Showmax.

In S2 Episode 11, we checked out what NOT to watch on the world’s biggest streamer, Netflix.

And, in this episode, Gino gives you the lowdown on what's on the world’s most ignored streaming platform, Disney.

  1. Free Guy - When Guy, a bank teller, learns that he is a non-player character in a bloodthirsty, open-world video game, he goes on to become the hero of the story and takes the responsibility of saving the world.
  2. The Secrets of Hillsong - Exploring one of America's most successful megachurches and the investigative reporting that lead to the dismissal of two prominent pastors.
  3. How to Die Alone - Melissa is a neurotic fat black woman who has never been in love, but after a brush with death she refuses to settle for anything less than the life she wants, leading her to become "that bitch" no matter what.
  4. Child Star - Examine how some of the most well-known former child stars, such as Lovato, deconstruct the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight and how their ascension to fame, riches, and power affects their futures.
  5. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes - Many years after the reign of Caesar, a young ape goes on a journey that will lead him to question everything he's been taught about the past and make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
  6. The Bear - A young chef from the fine dining world returns to Chicago to run his family's sandwich shop.
  7. Dear Mama - A documentary series which follows the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur and his mother, the Black Panther activist Afeni Shakur.
  8. Lance - A personal examination of the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong.
  9. Deadpool - A wisecracking mercenary gets experimented on and becomes immortal yet hideously scarred, and sets out to track down the man who ruined his looks.
  10. Monsters - This is not on Disney but on Netflix. Second of an an anthology series, centered on the stories of cannibalistic serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and convicted murderers Lyle and Erik Menendez.
