Gallup Floods Lift Cars Off Streets | Albuquerque News

Gallup, New Mexico braced for chaos as torrential rain—over a foot in under an hour—lifted cars off streets and soaked businesses along historic Route 66. With this being the third flood since late July, residents are turning to sandbags and flood gates to protect their homes. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, though vehicles and carpets took major hits. City crews are racing to clear drainage systems, while locals are urged to stay vigilant and head to higher ground if more storms roll in.
