Host Puneet Dhaliwal, PT, DPT, NCS is joined by Major. Carrie Hoppes, PT, PhD, NCS, OCS. CSCS, ATC. Major Hoppes is an Active Duty Army Physical Therapist and the Deputy Director of the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy.

Major Hoppes graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and the U.S. Army Baylor-University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy is 2006. She completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Science in 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Hoppes is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in both Neurologic and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, a Certified Athletic Trainer, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has served as the Chief of Inpatient Physical Therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, National Naval Medical Center – Bethesda, and San Antonio Military Medical Center. She has also served as the Chief of Amputee Physical Therapy at the Military Advanced Training Center and as the Officer in Charge of Physical Therapy at the Center for the Intrepid. In 2007-2008, she served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Taji, Iraq. Currently her research focuses on functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and falls.

In this episode we discuss various advances in rehabilitation and techniques in vestibular rehabilitation including assessment and treatments.
