Bonner’s Final Push After Phoenix Exit | Arkansas Razorbacks Basketball News

DeWanna Bonner’s legendary WNBA career is nearing its end, and she’s walking away from the Phoenix Mercury on a contract buyout — just after they were eliminated from playoff contention. With her eyes set on one last shot at a championship, Bonner, a six-time All-Star and two-time champ, is now a free agent poised to join a contender. The Mercury’s GM praised her leadership and called this move a heartfelt gesture, honoring their bond and giving her a chance to cap her career with a title. After leading Phoenix to the Finals last season and putting up strong numbers this year — including a standout 12-point, 9-rebound performance in her final game — Bonner must clear waivers before signing elsewhere. Where she lands could be the final chapter of an iconic run.
