Cleopatra Entertainment has acquired the North Americandistribution rights to the feature length documentary film TWIGGY. Directed by British actress and filmmaker Sadie Frost (Bram Stokers's Dracula, Quant (Dir.)) the film takes an intimate, star-studded look at the life andlegacy of the 1960's supermodel, starting from Twiggy's meteoric rise from a working-class London teen to a global "it-girl" and cultural icon. The documentary blendsrate archival footage with exclusive, modern-day interviews with famous friends and fans, including Paul McCartney, Dustin Hoffman and Brooke Shields, amongst others. It recently completed its successful international film festival run, including official selections atthe BFI London Film Festival, the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival, the Sydney Film Festival, Dublin International Film Festival, Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film and the Girls On Film Festival, where it received an official commendation in the Best Documentary Feature category. Sadie Frost said,'After my debut documentary on the iconic fashion designer Mary Quant, I wanted to dive deeper into the era and cultural figures who paved the way for how fashion evolved. Twiggy was a working-class London girl who against all odds took on the world, changing the look of women - both in society and fashion - forever. She is an integral part of British culture and before she had turned 17, she had already ascended into an international phenomenon. After a successful international run, I am delighted to now bringthe film to a US audience.
