On November nineteenth, the European Commission dropped a digital omnibus package that essentially pumped the brakes on one of the world's most ambitious AI laws. Instead, we're looking at December 2027 as the new deadline for high-risk AI systems, and even further extensions into 2028 for certain product categories.
