The Batman (Patreon Teaser)

As Pinhead the Cenobite once said, “You called us, we came!” The boys from BATTASS are here to give you a teaser for their Patreon-exclusive talk about The Batman, the newest live action cinematic installment of the Batman franchise! This one star everybody’s favorite glittering vampire-turned-art house superstar Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, and helmed by the director who’s never made a bad movie but isn’t yet a household name, Matt Reeves.



 In The Batman, the titular Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer (The Riddler, as portrayed by Paul Dano) leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, the Dark Knight Detective  must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, drive a pretty sick car,  and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.



The usual friends are there in the form of Alfred and Jim Gordon, and though it’s only been a few years since the last time we saw Catwoman on the big screen, two of Batman’s most fiendish foes step on to the stage for the first time in quite a while! The Riddler makes his first appearance since Batman Forever, and The Penguin makes his first appearance since Batman Returns, THIRTY years ago!



If mood is what you’re after, then The Batman is the movie for you! Gotham City hardly sees the sunlight, and is constantly soaked by pouring rain, so atmosphere is in no short supply here.
