Is socialism the solution to inequity and injustice in America, or is it an empty set of promises leading to greater pain and suffering? Young people inspired by leaders like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) believe greater government control and spending is a cure-all that can solve the nation’s most pressing problems. What they are pushing has failed everywhere it has been tried. Venezuela is the most recent formerly prosperous nation where socialism has had a devastating impact on the people. Joining me today to discuss America’s move towards socialism is Nina Pellegrini. Nina was born in Havana and migrated to the U.S. in 1961. She watched the transition in Cuba and was able to escape with members of her family. Nina is now the founding director of Californians for Property Rights, she manages her family business Vita Productions, and she is an active member of the California Republican Party.
