Lindsay Adler is one of the best educators you will ever see.

Stop and read that again….

I met Lindsay when I interviewed her for my WPPI 2020 episode, and I was simply blown away by her passion and energy. Watching her on stage, and then chatting with her for the interview, were one of the big highlights of my WPPI experience. Lindsay is one of those photographers that has attended the distinction of being a Canon Explorer of Light. I have met many of the artists in that group, and let me tell you…. Lindsay is hands down one of the best educators in the bunch.

On the chance that you are not familiar with Lindsay let me explain… she is fashion photographer based out of New York City. Her work is extraordinary, having appeared in publication like Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, and dozens more. Describing her work is difficult. It’s complex, clean, bold, and has a graphic feel to it. She could be shooting an advertising campaign, designer look books, jewelry, hair campaigns, fashion editorials, or professional athletes, and she would be equally at home in each. Her creativity, and ability to collaborate with others to create fresh new looks, is what she’s know for in the industry, but for viewers she is a wonderful artist.

Lindsay has authored five books, and she teaches to tens of thousands of photographers world-wide through prestigious platforms such as creativeLIVE, KelbyOne, and the industry’s biggest conferences.

Lindsay Adler is a force of positive energy and creativity, and if you ever get to see her speak, don’t miss it.

Last but not least, I want to encourage you to visit her website. I lost about two hours browsing her portfolio looking at possible images for this episode. I just kept looking and finding amazing work. Picking one shot was virtually impossible,  and there were a number of moment I felt inspired, and in awe. She is that good.

Join world renowned fashion photographer Lindsay Adler and me as we discuss what it takes to create an amazing commercial fashion image, on this episode of Behind the Shot.
