As you know, my name is Bella Vasta. And today, while I'm not necessarily driving down the road, I'm going to be talking to you like I'm driving down the road. It is currently Saturday morning, October 26th, as I record this. It'll come out on Halloween, October 31st. So I hope that your ghouls and goblins are happy and you're having fun or entertained or just kicking back and keeping your light off and keeping your peace at your home, which is something that we're definitely talking about today. Gearing up to do this every Saturday morning. My daughter has occupational therapy at my house. Something I haven't really talked about before because we were in NICU for 182 days, which is six months. She was. If you're just joining me now, I birthed one of the smallest surviving female babies on the planet. Yes, smallest surviving female babies on the planet at 12 ounces back in 2014. Everyone said she would not live like nobody said she would live. She was an inch shorter than a Barbie doll. Her skin was translucent, her eyes were still fused shut. She literally was a fetus outside. It was 28 weeks, five days, so three months early. And she was measuring a 22 weeker. For those of you who may or may not know, at 24 weeks, the lungs are the first vital organ to or the last vital organ to actually develop. And then after that, everything's kind of starting to grow.  But because of that and because of being in NICU for so long. And then when we came home, she was on quarter liter of oxygen. So we had a 50 foot cord of oxygen oxygen concentrator in the middle of my house. I had a cord baby on cord. And then I also had one of those long, tall, kind of looks like a coat hanger, like something you would hang, like clothes on walking around that had a bag on it that we would feed her because she also had an NG tube. So she had a tube going down her throat, a tube going down her nose, and I had to put those in. And 40 hours of nursing during the day, 40 hours of nursing at night. I do not say this to be oh, pity me or anything. I'm just kind of saying this to give everyone a background. If you're just joining us, if you've been with me for a while, you've known this story. I say this for two important things. I'm going to be talking about peace and healing and growth today. And I'M also going to be talking about something that just happened because of not crawling. You have no idea how important it is for babies to crawl. Our fingers have so many muscles in them that I think it's like the second most next to our mouth for things that need to be getting developed. And so when babies are crawling and they're putting pressures on all of their different phalanges, if you will, it really helps. And so my daughter, her hands are very stiff. Her. Her, like if you took someone's arm or their wrist and you just started flopping it around, it would start flopping all different directions. Right. Hers is very stiff. And so we work extra hard on things like writing or tying our shoes or putting our hair in a ponytail. Right. She's very, very, very smart. But occupation therapy, which is basically like fine motor skills, is actually something we work extra hard on. So Saturday mornings, 8:00 to 9:45, we have Emma come. And Emma's been in our life for, oh, my gosh, a long time, probably eight years. And so she's grown up, or Olivia's grown up with her. And today, right before I was about to do this, we had a little bit of a meltdown. And my child is a really happy child. She's so loving and. But we've been having these issues where you cry. And I'm gonna get to the point of how this relates to your business, I promise. And she just started crying and everything, and she just wouldn't not, like, be consoled. So I got her on the rocking chair and we do this thing sometimes. I might have talked about it before or we talked about it on my daughter's podcast. She has a podcast. She sees me do this and she wanted to do them. So every week we did it for our friends and family in the summer. So when she's not in school, she has podcast episodes. And so we sat in the chair and we hummed, and I just go. And she, like, puts her head on my chest and she kind of, like, cuddles into me. And then she hums and she's like, mom, that was so peaceful. That's so beautiful. And if you look up humming, what actually happens when you hum? Your brain can't think of anything else. It's weird. And not only that, but this might be a little woo for some of you. And I'm not being woo. It's, like, scientifically proven. Like, the vibrations in your body literally change, and it does calm you down. And it takes however many minutes for different individuals. And so we Just did that. And she was like, mom, that was so beautiful. I was like, okay, now go pass that piece on to Emma. You know, like, we want to make sure that it's peaceful. If I can hear you while I'm recording my podcast in the office, you're not passing peace on to Emma. You know, you're yelling, you're jumping around, and she's excited. She's a kid. She's 10. And so I say this all because the more that I learn how to parent her, and if any of you guys are parents, you know, you have to learn how to, like, kind of parent yourself first before you parent your children. And it's one of the biggest things that I've learned. I've talked about inner child healing on this podcast before. Often, you know, when I really start talking about real deep things, this. This is the stuff I talk about. This is the stuff I talk about with my friends on a daily, weekly basis. And I'm not kidding. And we're like, yes, like, you know, I did good here. Oh, gosh, I did really bad here. Or my inner child wants this or whatever it might be. But it's really just giving ourselves the things that we didn't necessarily have growing up. For whatever reasons, our parents only were able to do what they knew how to do. Just like I'm only doing what I know how to do for Olivia. And. But the first person that we all have to parent is ourself. And when we're freaking out online or when we're, you know, upset and angry, it's because we start, we feel a certain way and we're not feeling. We're not. We're not at that ultimate state of just letting things flow or accepting or as Mel Robbins would say, let them. Which, by the way, she just came out with her pre launch for her book, the Let them Theory. I highly suggest you go check that out and get your pre order. I did. I've heard her talk about it a lot and I just. I love Mel Robbins. So she has a podcast and some books. Go. She has the 5 second rule. Go check all that out. If you haven't. Anyways, yeah, so the first thing that we can do for ourselves is like, parent ourselves. And so it's been actually really interesting for me this month. Every single year since 2018, we've had launches for better marketing with Bella in October and in March. And this March, I'm going to be really honest with you guys. I started feeling very. I can't believe I'm going to Tell you this, I started feeling very irked.
