Are you watching competitors soar while you're stuck with outdated pet marketing tactics? In this episode, I pull back the curtain on how AI is not just some flashy tool. It’s a total game-changer for how we market pet businesses.
I’m sharing the full story of why I shut down my long-standing program and rebuilt it from the ground up to deliver truly custom, AI-powered marketing. You’ll hear how I worked one-on-one with clients to create region-specific, personality-infused campaigns that felt like they were made by hand. Because, honestly, they kind of were (with AI as my right-hand!).
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by tech or unsure how to even start using AI in your business, I promise you this: it’s easier and more essential than you think.

Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasta, and today I want to show you what’s possible. This episode isn’t a “5 tips” kind of teaching session. It’s meant to expand your mind and help you realize, “Oh my gosh, this is doable—and not just for Bella, but for me too.” Everything I’m going to talk about has been incorporated into my business and into many of my clients’ businesses. Today is about planting a seed. I won’t go into every “how-to,” but I’ll explain what’s possible and how it came to be.
For some quick context, I ran my own pet sitting company from 2002 to 2016. When I sold it, I was heartbroken that I couldn’t do the marketing for it anymore. So, as I always do, I innovated. At that time, no one was doing marketing specifically for pet businesses. That’s how Better Marketing with Bella started. I wanted to help as many people as I could, but I was just one person. So we started small with 5 or 6 people, and over the years the program grew to over 40 clients.
Back then, video content wasn’t a priority—reels didn’t even exist. Carousels weren’t a thing. But as trends evolved, so did we. We created marketing content using client photos, fonts, colors, and logos. It wasn’t fully custom, but we made it feel personal. The goal was always to meet clients halfway. I couldn’t be you. I couldn’t post your exact beachside summer photos if you lived in the mountains. But I always longed to create custom marketing—unique content based on someone’s real needs, real brand, and real goals.
Eventually, I ended the old program. Our last delivery was May 15, 2025. The first delivery of the new program was just two days ago. That’s where this story really begins. As we integrate AI into our workflows, I want to be clear: AI isn’t coming for your job, but the people who are using AI are. They’re using it to get ahead. They’re accelerating faster because they're removing the bottlenecks that slow most businesses down.
Think about everything that’s been sitting on your to-do list—blog posts, analyzing data, repurposing social media content, creating custom emails. All of these tasks can now be done faster and smarter. And all it takes is one motivated business owner in your area using these tools to leave the competition in the dust. For example, I recently attended a local AI event where I saw a humanoid robot—only five days old, walking and speaking Korean. It was surreal. But what really stuck with me was when someone said, “We don’t work with businesses that don’t have structure.” Without SOPs, handbooks, workflows, or checklists, AI is useless.
If you haven’t documented your business yet, now is the time. One of our mastermind members, Carlene, spent all of 2024 trying to create her SOPs. She joined in January, watched a 20-minute video on how to do it, and had it finished in less than three weeks. Why? Because she had a system and a clear process. Most of us don’t have the mental space to stare at a blinking cursor and build documentation from scratch. But the reality is, if you want to elevate your business in 2025, this lack of structure isn’t just a hurdle—it’s a serious problem.
You need documentation not just for AI, but for your team. Back in March, I taught how to create your own GPT. We used things like employee handbooks and manuals as input. Why? Because when employees forget how to secure a house properly—even after being told 20 times—it’s not just their fault. We, as business owners, have to deliver information clearly and effectively. I created a demo GPT you can try at jumpconsulting.net/ask. It’s based on my old pet sitting manual. You can ask it anything and it’ll answer like a real human, not just copy-paste from a handbook.
Just this week, I launched the first version of our new Marketing with Bella program. It was incredible. I met with about 70% of the business owners personally. Every single one had unique requests and needs. This wasn’t cookie-cutter marketing. I created detailed deliverables with AI that would have taken hours upon hours to do manually. We’re talking group Facebook posts, custom sales scripts, networking plans, holiday promotions, email campaigns, blog posts, lead magnets, website feedback, pricing strategy, event materials, hiring ads, personalized GPTs, Reels scripts, highlight covers, flyers, postcards, bios, banners—you name it.
One client even told me, “What you gave me was so good, I trust you with complete creative direction next month.” That kind of feedback? It fuels me. I even came up with a Spotify-related marketing campaign that I can't fully reveal yet—but it’s evergreen, scalable, and wildly creative.
With AI, I was able to create custom avatars, like a fictional woman named Ava for one client. I had AI generate graphics of her feeling frustrated, then happy. Same person, same branding, but with different emotions and backgrounds, as if we did a full photo shoot. I could put her walking in a Scottsdale neighborhood or in Massachusetts, depending on what matched the client’s local vibe. It’s powerful, and it’s accessible.
If you’re still relying on stock photos, it’s time to step it up. The tools are here. The only question is: will you use them? AI is not hard. Google Ads, Facebook Ads—those are hard. AI? It’s just about learning to ask the right questions and feed it the right information. The hardest part is getting out of your own way.
And if you're not using AI in your business yet, it’s like not having a phone or computer. The sooner you start, the more "seasoned" your AI tools become. Just like marinating a steak, it gets better over time. The longer you use it, the more your tools understand your brand voice, your preferences, your systems.
Even my daughter is writing a book using ChatGPT. She creates the characters, outlines the story, and generates chapters with AI’s help. We're publishing it on Amazon. She's even outlining her podcast episodes. Why? Because it’s that intuitive and easy. It doesn’t require coding. It just requires clear communication.
So here’s what I want to leave you with: AI is here. The future has arrived. You don’t need to master everything today, but you do need to start. Whether it’s creating a bot, joining the mastermind, or using platforms like Magai that consolidate all AI tools into one space, the opportunity is real.
What’s holding you back from diving in? Tell me. Comment, email, or DM me your honest answer. There’s no judgment—I just want to help you get out of your own way.
Because when life gets you down, always keep jumping.
