3. Celia's Surprise Unassisted Birth

3. Celia's Surprise Unassisted Birth

Author: Cait Hayes February 27, 2020 Duration: 43:55

Celia had planned to have a natural birth in a birth center for her first baby. Her labor started and fizzled out. It later started back up with a vengeance! A snowstorm was expected for the next day and rush hour was in full effect. What should've been an easy, half hour ride to the birth center turned into over an hour long journey with Celia's contractions getting stronger along the way. She soon realized she wouldn't make it to the birth center after all. Make sure you listen to hear how and where baby Roah made his debut and laugh with us along the way!

Cait Hayes hosts Birth Naturally, a space dedicated to honest conversations about the entire journey of bringing a child into the world without medical intervention. This podcast moves beyond simple birth stories to explore the physical, emotional, and practical realities of med-free birth and the life that follows. You'll hear from a variety of voices-people who are trying to conceive, those pregnant for the first time, and experienced parents-all sharing their unique perspectives and hard-won wisdom. The aim is to build a supportive community where information is exchanged freely, not to prescribe a single right way, but to illuminate the many paths available. Each episode delves into personal narratives and discussions meant to foster a sense of confidence and self-trust. Tuning in provides a sense of companionship, reminding you that you're not navigating these profound questions and experiences alone. For anyone curious about or committed to a natural birth process, this podcast serves as a valuable resource and a source of genuine empowerment, from pregnancy through the early years of parenting.
