Breakbeat Paradise (BBP)
For over two decades, the name Breakbeat Paradise (BBP) has been a cornerstone for a specific pulse in electronic music. It began as a website in 1996, a digital home for breakers and producers, before evolving into a proper label releasing music on both vinyl and digital formats since 2006. Founded by Boe Pedersen, known as Dj BadboE, the operation started in Denmark and is now based in Florida, carrying its deep-rooted ethos across the Atlantic. This podcast is the natural, rhythmic extension of that journey. Each episode channels the label's core mission: a dedication to the raw, kinetic energy of breakbeat and its many offshoots. You'll hear curated selections and releases from the BBP catalog, a mix of established and emerging talent within this loosely defined but fiercely passionate style. It's a direct line to the sounds that have defined the community for years, presented without pretense. Tuning in offers more than just a playlist; it's an immersion into a sustained musical conversation that started with a website and continues to evolve. The Breakbeat Paradise (BBP) podcast serves as both an archive and a living broadcast, pushing the breaks forward from its foundation in the mid-90s to whatever comes next.
