The Christian Case For Immigration Control

The Christian Case For Immigration Control

Author: Pastor Peter Simpson May 13, 2026 Duration: 25:30

DETAILS OF TODAY'S 33:12 REPORT : The Christian loves his neighbour whoever he is and wherever he comes from. However, it is a complete and utter abuse of this Biblical injunction to love our neighbour to argue that nations should have open borders and allow anyone who wishes to to come in.

What Christian householder would ever apply that principle to his own home? What Christian homeowner would never lock his front door at night? The principle of the need to control who enters in with respect to one's own home is no different with nations. It is the Lord Himself who has ordained nationhood and national boundaries, and it is virtuous behaviour in His sight for nations to strictly control their borders.

However, western societies have been blinded by the all-prevailing secularist philosophy of cultural Marxism, and many churches have succumbed as well. As a result, it is difficult to even raise this subject without the tedious accusation coming in of being far right and racist.

The plain reality is this : God Himself has ordained nations and controlled national boundaries. As with all others subjects, our only authority is God's word, the Bible.

Thank you for listening. We give this. podcast the tagline of 'The 33:12 Report' after Psalm 33:12 which says "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord"Please consider following the podcast and sharing it with friends, neighbours and relatives.

From his vantage point in Middlesbrough, Pastor Peter Simpson offers a sobering yet hopeful perspective on modern Britain. The Britain's Only Hope the Gospel podcast is built on the conviction that the teachings of Jesus Christ provide the sole foundation for national renewal. Each episode moves between thoughtful analysis of current societal conditions and direct, scriptural proclamation. You'll hear recordings from formal pulpit addresses, where biblical texts are carefully expounded, alongside the raw, unfiltered energy of open-air witnessing, capturing conversations and teachings delivered in public spaces. This blend gives the podcast a distinctive character, rooted in both theological reflection and active engagement. Pastor Simpson doesn't shy away from applying a biblical lens to contemporary issues, arguing that spiritual revival is intrinsically linked to the health of the nation. For those seeking a perspective that intertwines faith with a concerned commentary on British culture, this series provides a consistent and challenging voice. It’s more than a religious broadcast; it’s a sustained argument for the gospel as the essential answer, making each installment a call to both personal faith and collective consideration.
