The Last Round-Up...

The Last Round-Up...

Yes, Buckaroos, this is it. Don't expect any extra-special stuff in this show; it's just an ordinary episode, other than it's the last one.  On October 9th, Buckaroo Holiday will disappear from Podbean. Not only will there be no more new shows, but the entire archive will also be gone without a trace. So, for a month, you can download as many older shows as you like. As I mention in this closing episode, we will be creating an online archive of all these old shows, and once that's up I'll share the information about it on my Patreon (on a "public" post you can access without a membership), so check in there if you want to know about that. I'm sorry I don't have the info just yet to put here, but I might amend this if we set that up soon enough.    Buckaroo Holiday itself, new episodes and specials, will continue on Patreon. Here's the link to that: https://www.patreon.com/buckarooholiday  I don't do any "tiers" or bullshit like that over there, so whether you join for a buck a month or some larger amount, it's up to you; the experience will be the same. It makes no sense to pay every year to keep this going on Podbean; as long as listenership was growing I was happy to pay the yearly fee, but - whether it was over comments of mine that people disliked, music they didn't dig, or just my repellent personality - it dwindled, and I'd rather direct my efforts to the more loyal audience on Patreon.  If you have any questions about anything, I can be reached there, or at my email, mcvouty at opt online dot net (I may regret sharing that here, but I'l chance it, since it'll be gone in a month anyway... please don't harass me).  I'm a little sad about this, but that ain't your problem and I won't go on about it except to say that making this show has meant a lot to me through a few incredibly weird and difficult years. If some of you also found it useful, interesting, and entertaining through your own lives and times, then it sorta succeeded. Thanks for your time and attention. My love and best wishes to you all - Sport

Tune in to Buckaroo Holiday! for a weekly dose of relaxed conversation and whatever happens to be on the mind of your host, Mike "Sport" Murphy. Think of it as dropping by a favorite spot, the S.Y.G., where the talk is easy and the topics are pleasantly unpredictable. Each episode runs about an hour, sometimes a little more or a little less, and unfolds without much of a plan. You might hear stories from the road, thoughts on a recent book or film, reminiscing about old hobbies, or just observations on the oddities of everyday life. The charm of this podcast lies in its genuine, meandering nature-it feels less like a produced show and more like catching up with a knowledgeable friend who has a knack for finding interest in the ordinary. Created by buckarooholiday60, it’s a perfect companion for a long drive, a workshop putter, or just kicking back on the porch. If you enjoy unscripted, leisurely chats that wander wherever the moment takes them, you’ll find a comfortable home here.
