The Chicago Bears’ most surprising Day 2 draft pick is starting to make more sense 👀🐻⬇️

Ben Johnson explained why the Bears had to have LSU wide receiver Zavion Thomas, and the answer goes beyond just speed. Thomas brings 4.2-level explosiveness, offensive versatility, backfield usage, return ability, and a skill set Johnson believes can complement Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Kalif Raymond in Chicago’s offense.

But Zavion Thomas is not the only Bears storyline heating up.

Haize also breaks down three Bears veterans who need to step up to keep their jobs: Jahdae Walker, Roschon Johnson, and Tyrique Stevenson. Walker now has to battle Kalif Raymond and Zavion Thomas for snaps. Roschon Johnson still has value, but Coleman Bennett and other depth pieces could apply pressure. And while Malik Muhammad may be Tyrique Stevenson’s long-term replacement, the Bears still need Stevenson to have a strong 2026 season.
