🐻🔥 The Chicago Bears are already showing signs that Year 2 under Ben Johnson could look a whole lot different.

On today’s episode of Chicago Bears Central, Haize breaks down Ben Johnson’s comments on what has changed for the Bears this offseason after going from worst to first in the NFC North, finishing with a winning record, and winning a playoff game. Johnson made it clear that this team is operating at a different level during OTAs, with returning players understanding the expectations, meetings, walkthroughs, practice tempo, and overall standard inside the building.

The Bears are no longer installing everything from scratch. Caleb Williams, the quarterback room, the route runners, the offensive line, and the defense all appear to be thinking less and playing faster. That matters in a huge way as Chicago tries to build on last season while facing one of the toughest schedules in the NFL.

Caleb Williams is already making highlight throws to players like Rome Odunze and Zavion Thomas, showing comfort and command in Year 2 of Ben Johnson’s offense. Zavion Thomas is flashing that 4.28 speed and may be proving he can be more than just a special teams player. Austin Booker is generating pressure off the edge, giving the Bears hope that he can take a step forward as a pass-rusher.
