For twenty-five years, Pete Rogers has been writing and speaking about the wilderness, but he found the conversations happening around campfires and in duck blinds often went deeper than just tactics or gear. Those moments sparked Christian Outdoors Podcast, which he launched in 2019 after considerable reflection. This isn't a sermon from a mountaintop, but a series of genuine conversations rooted in a simple, guiding mission: to explore all things outdoors and discover how to find joy in a spiritual connection every single day. You’ll hear from hunters, anglers, hikers, and conservationists who share their own stories from the field, blending practical outdoor wisdom with personal reflections on faith and creation. Pete draws on his long background as an outdoor writer and author to steer these discussions, creating a space where the thrill of a turkey hunt and the quiet of a sunrise sit comfortably alongside matters of spirit. It’s a unique blend, born from a nonprofit based in Taylors, South Carolina, that feels less like a produced show and more like an invitation to join a like-minded community. Each episode of this podcast is built on the idea that the natural world and a life of faith aren't separate journeys, but are beautifully and inextricably woven together.
