416 - Devotions with Christian Outdoors - 4 fold devotion

416 - Devotions with Christian Outdoors - 4 fold devotion

Author: Pete Rogers February 27, 2026 Duration: 14:57

Acts 2 is a powerful passage of Scripture where thousands come to Christ and we get to glimpse into the daily disciplines of these new followers that forever changed the world.

Their devotion was fourfold.

  1. Devoted to the word.
  2. Devoted to fellowship.
  3. Devoted to the breaking of bread.
  4. Devoted to prayer.

Looking to take your faith to the next level this is a great place to start.

I also referenced the Youversion Bible App.  It is a must have download.  It is also free!  It will provide many Bible reading plans as a help for those who wish to dig deeper but simply don't know where to start.

Be Blessed my friends - Pastor Jon Goodwin

For twenty-five years, Pete Rogers has been writing and speaking about the wilderness, but he found the conversations happening around campfires and in duck blinds often went deeper than just tactics or gear. Those moments sparked Christian Outdoors Podcast, which he launched in 2019 after considerable reflection. This isn't a sermon from a mountaintop, but a series of genuine conversations rooted in a simple, guiding mission: to explore all things outdoors and discover how to find joy in a spiritual connection every single day. You’ll hear from hunters, anglers, hikers, and conservationists who share their own stories from the field, blending practical outdoor wisdom with personal reflections on faith and creation. Pete draws on his long background as an outdoor writer and author to steer these discussions, creating a space where the thrill of a turkey hunt and the quiet of a sunrise sit comfortably alongside matters of spirit. It’s a unique blend, born from a nonprofit based in Taylors, South Carolina, that feels less like a produced show and more like an invitation to join a like-minded community. Each episode of this podcast is built on the idea that the natural world and a life of faith aren't separate journeys, but are beautifully and inextricably woven together.
