I've been hearing a lot of good things through the grapevine (excuse the pun) about this band Good For Grapes. Turns out they're all true! Great guys and very energetic live set, even unplugged, in cramped quarters at CiTR. Local heroes, or soon to be. Get to their Vogue Theatre show Dec. 14 for future "I saw 'em when.." bragging rights.
Also played some vintage Dave Van Ronk to warm you folks up for the next Coen Bros. movie, which is loosely based on his life and music.
Keep warm everyone! Big cold front moving in, we may see some actual pre-Xmas snow here in Vancooolver.
Thanks for listening,

The conversation within this folk oasis is as important as the music itself, offering context about the scenes and communities that produce these sounds. While the series is currently on hiatus, the existing archive remains a vital resource for anyone eager to move beyond the mainstream.
