1 Step Forward, 10 Steps Back: How Trump Is Saving the GOP Establishment | 5/18/26

Author: Blaze Podcast Network May 18, 2026 Duration: 58:28
Today I demonstrate how conservatives are allegedly losing ground on nearly every major issue despite Republican control and Trump’s dominance over the GOP. The old guard of establishment Republicans — the Mitch McConnells, Thom Tillises, and Bill Cassidys — are running out of gas. But instead of replacing them with true constitutional conservatives, Trump is using his massive 96% endorsement success rate to elevate a new, more dangerous breed of establishment candidate: "MAGA Inc." RINOs. Candidates like Julia Letlow and Ashley Hinson don the red hat and mouth the right slogans, but their voting records reveal they are completely beholden to K Street special interests, corporate data center land-grabs, and medical tyranny. Because they wrap themselves in the MAGA banner, they are twice as hard for actual conservatives to defeat. I also expose how the abortion pill mifepristone — supported by Trump’s FDA, DOJ, and Supreme Court appointees — is effectively nullifying the Dobbs decision and reshaping the abortion fight nationwide. It’s a perfect example of how even our greatest victories are illusory.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Navigating the daily news cycle often feels like wading through a swamp of manufactured narratives and partisan spin. Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz offers a different path, diving deep into the core principles that should guide policy and cultural analysis from a right-leaning perspective. Hosted by Daniel Horowitz and presented by the Blaze Podcast Network, this show isn't about rehashing the headlines you've already heard. Instead, it's a detailed examination of how conservative philosophy applies to current events, dissecting the failures of both the left and the compromised right with a focus on foundational ideas rather than personality-driven politics. Each episode aims to untangle complex issues in news, culture, and society, providing listeners with a framework for understanding that goes beyond superficial talking points. You'll find a consistent push for intellectual consistency and a critique of empty political theater, whether the topic is legislation, a cultural trend, or a foreign policy decision. The goal is to equip you with a clearer, more principled way to process the world's noise. For anyone seeking substance over soundbites, this podcast serves as a rigorous, principle-first review of the American landscape.
