Batch114: Renegade Brewing Company's Brian O’Connell

Author: Craft Beer Republic September 18, 2018 Duration: 51:01
Cheers to the Denver beer lovers! This week, Greg is on a road trip to Denver and he's talking with Brian O’Connell, founder of Renegade Brewing. Renegade has been around since 2011 and is turning out some amazing beer.
Greg and Brian discuss what Renegade's focus when it comes to beer making and what has made them so successful in the few years they've been open. They also talk about Brian's background as a beer lover and beer maker, how he left his good job one day to start a brewery (and his wife's reaction), what it took to open up, opening his second production-only facility, and his current role at the brewery. We also talk about what beer he's most proud of, which beer recipes were carried over from home brewing, the sinkhole that opened up under the brewery and so much more. On top of all that, we sampled some of their amazing beers as a guided tasting for anyone that comes into the tasting room.

We also talked about their Tap 4 Tap program where every beer purchased is clean water for people that need it most. You can find out more about that at www.tap4tap.org.

A huge thank you to Brian O’Connell for lending his time and sharing some of his delicious beer, and to Nicolle Montgomery, Director of Marketing, for helping to set things up.
