Batch301: Après-Ski Accident Beers

Batch301: Après-Ski Accident Beers

Author: Craft Beer Republic April 27, 2022 Duration: 50:23
What’s the best part of skiing? Après-ski beers! Beergirl_Melissa stops in to talk about falling down the slopes, drinking at baseball games, New York’s anti-brunch stance, the sale of Modern Times, and the all-beer diet!

Flex is drinking Crippling Predictions from Modist Brewing and Blackstact Brewing. Mel is sipping on Babe Brew 2, an Imperial Stout from Microbrasserie Labrosse and Brew Babes Family. Greg is researching Flames of Eden, the International Women’s Day collab brew from Pure Brewing.

Greg talks about drinking his way through Mammoth on his recent ski trip and the worst fall he ever had on the slopes. Turns out Mel was a ski instructor. Flex continues his opening day tradition and gets hydrated at a Brewer’s game. It turns out that you can’t drink at Jets games; why even go? And the only way to tailgate at Dodger games is to hide in your car.

This week’s Ludicrous Libation Law comes straight from New York City.

Stone Brewing is trying to squeeze even more out of MolsonCoors. But Sycamore Brewing is suing Stone over the name of a new beer. Modern Times is up on the auction block. BrewDog closes its Indianapolis taproom. New Belgium and Bells Brewing officially merged and started letting people go. A man goes on the all-beer diet for lent and comes out better for it.

Go support the Mel and the Allyson Whitney foundation @allyson4rare. And a huge thanks to everyone that came out for our live show at Naughty Pine Brewing.
