Last Man Drinking

Author: Craft Beer Republic September 11, 2024 Duration: 42:46

Greg and Flex are back with a malty adventure, diving into Oktoberfest brews and wild tales. From a spontaneous trivia night at a German beer hall to a boozy bender at Dave & Buster’s, the guys have plenty of laughs and stories to share. And of course, no episode would be complete without a crazy Florida Man story—this time featuring a tractor. Grab a beer and join the fun!

Beers We're Drinking:

  • Flex is drinking MKE Brewing’s Oktoberfest, a Marzen-style lager with its perfect balance of roasted malts and caramel sweetness.
  • Greg is chugging Enegren Brewing’s Oktoberfest, a traditional Bavarian style Marzen with a dry finish.

Greg shares his solo trivia night at a San Francisco German beer hall, where he found himself unexpectedly competing and making the comedian question his career. He also recounts a wild night at Dave & Buster’s that involved beers, Jell-O shots, more beers, and an Uber ride that almost didn’t happen. The guys also debate their love-hate relationship with Dunkels and discuss the perfect time for Oktoberfest beers. And Pyscho Bear calls in and leaves a voicemail.

Ludicrous Libation Law takes us to the hills of West Virginia.

Booze News:

  • Fireball's legal mess: Sazerac is under fire for misleading consumers with their malt-based mini bottles that aren't actually whiskey.
  • Cambridge Brewing Company closing: After 35 years, Cambridge Brewing is closing shop, not because of financial woes, but because the founder is ready to retire.
  • Florida Man strikes again: A man was arrested for driving a tractor drunk on Main Street, in true Florida style.

Shoutout to Decatur, Georgia for being our top listening city.
