However, it also comes at a cost. Global data center capacity is projected to grow by over 120 GW by 2030, fuelled by AI demand, with energy consumption expected to double to ~1,400 TWh, compared to 1% of today's total. This growth outpaces current power demand trends, posing capacity and sustainability challenges. It requires data center companies to adapt in order to meet the evolving power needs of AI-driven applications effectively and sustainably.
