Once again I find myself wanting to help and I am yet again without the tools to do so. Moments ago I was prepared to kill these poor souls and now I'm racking my brain trying to think of ways to aid them. Why can't I let this go? Why must you take in every stray you come across? Step into the world of Ogg Nott, a land brimming with secrets and peril, though its inhabitants remain blissfully unaware of its impending fate. This is the setting for D&D is For Nerds, the acclaimed actual play series from Sanspants Radio. Rather than a single continuous saga, the podcast unfolds across distinct seasons, each a self-contained story with a fresh cast of characters and unique dangers to overcome. This structure makes it easy to jump in anywhere, whether you're new to tabletop roleplaying or a seasoned adventurer. For those who stick around, a deeper, centuries-spanning narrative gradually reveals itself, connecting threads between these seemingly isolated tales. The focus is on the collaborative, often hilarious journey of the players themselves as they navigate dungeons, diplomacy, and sheer chaos. Expect a blend of genuine comedy born from improvisation and camaraderie, alongside compelling fiction shaped by dice rolls and desperate decisions. It’s less about stat blocks and more about the stories that emerge when friends gather around a microphone. The result is an immersive and consistently entertaining escape into a game where anything can happen, and usually does.
