387 | Anxiety & People Pleasing & ADHD, OH MY!

Author: Amber Cammidge September 8, 2026 Duration: 26:34

Hey guys,

In this episode, I share what I'm learning about the connection between ADHD, anxiety, and internal hyperactivity, particularly in women. I also share about people pleasing and the relationship between people pleasing and anxiety.

I talk about why ADHD can make seemingly simple things, like starting a decluttering task, so much harder than they appear from the outside.

This diagnosis doesn't explain everything, and it doesn't mean my anxiety wasn't real. But it has changed the question I've been asking myself for most of my life.

Instead of "What's wrong with me?"

I'm beginning to ask:

"How does my brain actually work?"

And that question leaves a lot more room for understanding—and a lot less room for shame.

I hope this helps you!

XO,

Amber
