He has taught at Harvard University, Columbia University, and has been a visiting professor and lecturer in India, South Korea, Spain, Mexico, France, and the United States. His articles and essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Nation, Journal of Democracy, New Republic, and the Los Angeles Times. His latest book, Warriors, Rebels, and Saints: The Art of Leadership from Machiavelli to Malcolm X, helps readers grapple with the nature of leadership from a historical perspective.
