#175: The Best Nightclubs In Games Special

#175: The Best Nightclubs In Games Special

Author: Rock Paper Shotgun February 24, 2022 Duration: 1:07:00
Another week, another episode where I get the number wrong again. Contrary to what I say on the recording, this is in fact episode 175 of the Electronic Wireless Show podcast. I probably got it wrong because I'd been up all night at the discotheque. Yes, this week we're taking a suggestion from the listeners and talking about our favourite nightclubs in games. And three more qualified people to talk about clubbing you would not meet. But first this week there's some big Henry "Vitamin H" Cavill news to get out of the way, plus we discuss drinking animal blood in VIP sections (which is what rich people do), and at what point it stops being cool to go to a nightclub. For me? Almost immediately. And me and Matthew have actually been playing a game, but it's a PlayStation game so please don't listen to us talk about it. But you should definitely listen to Matthew's Hitman-themed Cavern Of Lies. 🌐 Read the show notes: www.rockpapershotgun.com/electronic-wireless-show-podcast-episode-175-the-best-nightclubs-in-games-special 🛒 Buy some RPS merch: store.reedpop.com/collections/rock-paper-shotgun 💬 Join the RPS Discord: discord.gg/rockpapershotgun Learn more about your ad choices. There's a certain kind of conversation that happens when friends who are deeply into PC gaming get together, and that's exactly what you'll find on Electronic Wireless Show. Each episode from Rock Paper Shotgun begins with a solid, often wonderfully niche topic from the world of computer games-be it a classic strategy title, the latest hardware debate, or the oddities of a new release. But the real charm lies in the detours. The discussion might start with graphics cards and effortlessly meander into an earnest debate about the merits of different aquarium setups or a shared fascination with oddly placed roadside traffic cones. It’s this blend of genuine expertise and unscripted, tangential chatter that gives the podcast its character. You're not just getting analysis; you're getting a slice of the wide-ranging, sometimes absurd, and always passionate conversations that happen when people who live and breathe this stuff simply start talking. It feels less like a formal production and more like you’ve pulled up a chair at a lively pub table where the topics are as unpredictable as they are engaging. Tune in weekly for that specific mix of focused insight and delightful digression.
