For over 15 years, Taska Moore, M.D., has cared for women as a board-certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist. She has spent most of her career working exclusively in underserved communities. Working in communities of limited means present challenges including battling diseases caused or worsened by poor health choices. Healthcare access, food deserts, and ongoing healthcare disparities are factors that influence such decisions. Dr. Moore is determined to provide high quality care to women with socioeconomic challenges and provides resources to empower them with better options.
As a certified ACE health coach for the last 5 years, she uses her knowledge regarding exercise and nutrition to guide patients in their journey towards healthier lives. As the valedictorian of her High School graduating class, a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta chapter of the pre-medicine society at Cornell University, chapter president of the American Medical Student Association at the Icahn School of Medicine (formerly Mount Sinai), Chief Resident during her residency training and former Chief Medical Officer at a community health center with 10 sites; her determination for being a catalyst in the evolution of medicine towards cultural competency and improved representation, has made her a leader throughout her life.
As Founder of Healthy Bump Club, she continues to be a trailblazer creating a digital platform that educates and facilitates dialogue on women’s health with a focus on pregnancy related topics for moms of color.
