The Hero of Net-Zero: Narragansett Bay Commission

Author: Ann Gisinger July 19, 2023 Duration: 31:28

The Narragansett Bay Commissions (NBC) Net-Zero Renewable Energy Program stabilizes electric costs and sewer rates and demonstrates to other agencies the efficacy of investing in renewable energy generating assets. NBC has already invested $38 million in a diverse array of renewable generating assets, including onshore wind turbines, solar arrays, and an anaerobic digester biogas project. In this episode you’ll learn how NBC has made this program possible. This is a continuation of a series highlighting the five EBC EBEE award winners; organizations and individuals noted for their outstanding accomplishments in environmental management, energy resources and management, and climate change.
