In the first of several podcasts about the 'gig' economy, we'll explore how the AICPA & CIMA will be supporting this growing sector with new resources and tools

Talking Points.

  • What do we mean by "gig" economy?
  • What does it imply for accountants and finance professionals?
  • Who is attracted and why is it a viable career option?
  • How do our research findings illuminate AICPA & CIMA members' career ambitions in this context?

  • Carl Peterson, CPA, is Vice President of Small Firms at the American Institute of CPAs. In this role, he serves as the small firm advocate and representative for the profession.
