"I am SO excited to be on my way to Vegas!"

In just a few days, AICPA & CIMA's annual ENGAGE conference begins in Las Vegas. It's a global gathering of accounting and finance professionals often seen as the profession's premier event of the year. One of the most popular content tracks is "CPA Practitioners and Tech+" and to tell us about it, we're joined by Carl Peterson, the Association's VP for Small Firm Interests.

Our Guest. Carl Peterson, CPA, is Vice President of Small Firms Interests at the American Institute of CPAs. In this role, he serves as the small firm advocate and representative for the profession. Carl has a history volunteering within the profession, including having served as a member of the AICPA Council and as a member of the AICPA's Accounting and Review Services Committee.  In 2013, he was honoured by the Society with their Distinguished Service Award.

Navigating the path to becoming a Chartered Global Management Accountant involves more than just technical knowledge-it demands leadership. FLP, the Finance Leadership Podcast, from AICPA & CIMA, is here for that journey. Evolving from the Go Beyond Disruption show in late 2022, this podcast focuses squarely on the Finance Leadership Programme, the innovative route to the CGMA designation. Each episode cuts through the noise to deliver timely, actionable insights and essential updates directly related to the FLP pathway. You’ll hear discussions that help bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical, strategic mindset required of modern finance leaders. Whether you're actively enrolled in the programme or considering it, the conversations here are designed to clarify the process, tackle challenges, and explore what it truly means to lead in finance today. Tune in for a resource that feels less like a formal lecture and more like a regular check-in with experts who understand exactly what you're working toward.
