Ca: El dia començava amb un sol radiant que escalfava lleument l'aire fresc de la primavera.
En: The day began with a radiant sun that gently warmed the cool spring air.
Ca: El cel de Lleida era d'un blau pur i les flors dels ametllers cobrien l'horitzó amb un mantell de color rosa pàl·lid.
En: The sky in Lleida was a pure blue, and the almond blossoms covered the horizon with a blanket of pale pink.
Ca: Clara caminava amb pas lent pels camins de l'hort d'ametllers que el seu avi havia cuidat durant tants anys.
