Nl: De wind gierde over de uitgestrekte, witte vlakte van de Arctische toendra.
En: The wind howled over the vast, white expanse of the Arctische tundra.
Nl: Het was lente, maar de kou was nog steeds scherp.
En: It was spring, but the cold was still sharp.
Nl: Lars, met zijn onderzoeksmateriaal stevig vastgebonden, keek uit over de horizon.
