Ru: В подземном мире, залитом холодным светом лампы Ильи, трое друзей медленно двигались вдоль ржавых рельсов.
En: In the underground world, bathed in the cold light of Ilya's lamp, three friends slowly moved along the rusty rails.
Ru: Это был мираж прошлого — заброшенное метро, где здания снаружи давно упали, но туннели всё ещё стояли.
En: It was a mirage of the past — an abandoned metro, where the buildings outside had long since fallen, but the tunnels still stood.
Ru: Весна едва ли чувствовалась здесь, только незначительное тепло ветра, проникающего в трещины наверху.
En: Spring was barely felt here, only a slight warmth from the wind seeping through the cracks above.
Ru: Илья шёл впереди.
En: Ilya walked ahead.
Ru: Он был лидером, хотя иногда не знал, куда ведёт своих спутников.
En: He was the leader, although sometimes he didn't know where he was leading his companions.
Ru: Его сердце било о прошлом: он доверился не тем людям, и теперь его семья исчезла.
En: His heart beat for the past: he trusted the wrong people, and now his family was gone.
Ru: Виктория, с маслом на руках, старалась смотреть вперёд, но страх оставаться одной следовал за ней по пятам.
En: Viktoria, with oil on her hands, tried to look forward, but the fear of being alone followed her closely.
Ru: А Макс — он шёл немного позади, обдумывая, как мир может стать лучше.
En: And Max — he walked a bit behind, pondering how the world could become better.
Ru: Будь у него больше лет, больше слов нашёл бы для этого.
En: If he were older, he might have found more words for this.
Ru: "Вода должна быть где-то здесь," говорил Илья.
En: "The water should be somewhere here," said Ilya.
Ru: "Слышал ночью, что группа нашла источник, но он далеко.
En: "I heard at night that a group found a source, but it's far.
Ru: Добраться туда не легко".
En: Getting there is not easy."
Ru: Туннель впереди обвалился.
En: The tunnel ahead had collapsed.
Ru: Камни и металлы угрожающе нависли.
En: Stones and metals loomed threateningly.
Ru: Илья заколебался — он знал о коротком, но опасном пути справа.
En: Ilya hesitated — he knew of a short but dangerous path to the right.
Ru: Мог ли он рисковать своими друзьями?
En: Could he risk his friends?
Ru: Он обернулся, стараясь найти в глазах Виктории согласие.
En: He turned, trying to find agreement in Viktoria's eyes.
Ru: Но она лишь покачала головой.
En: But she only shook her head.
Ru: "Безопасность дороже," сказала она твёрдо.
En: "Safety is more important," she said firmly.
Ru: Они выбрали длинный путь, надеясь избежать врагов.
En: They chose the long path, hoping to avoid enemies.
Ru: Но именно там их и ждали.
En: But that's where they were waiting.
Ru: Другие выжившие — где-то увядшие души, как и они.
En: Other survivors — withered souls, like themselves.
Ru: Но здесь силы были не на стороне Ильи, и они угрожали.
En: But here the strength was not on Ilya's side, and they threatened them.
Ru: Речь шла о том, чтобы пройти.
En: It was about getting through.
Ru: Максим шагнул вперёд, глаза его светились надеждой.
En: Maxim stepped forward, his eyes glowing with hope.
Ru: "Может, нас примут?
En: "Maybe they'll accept us?
Ru: У нас нет оружия, но есть друг с полезными идеями," сказал он, кивая в сторону Виктории.
En: We have no weapons, but we have a friend with useful ideas," he said, nodding toward Viktoria.
Ru: На удивление, переговоры шли медленно и мирно.
En: Surprisingly, the negotiations proceeded slowly and peacefully.
Ru: Илья уловил, что те, с другой стороны, были более вымотаны, чем враждебны.
En: Ilya sensed that those on the other side were more exhausted than hostile.
Ru: Он вдохнул глубже, и разговор сдвинулся.
En: He breathed deeper, and the conversation moved forward.
Ru: Их пропустили.
En: They let them pass.
Ru: Цель была близка.
En: The goal was near.
Ru: Они нашли воду, ледяную и свежую, но стражи их не пустили.
En: They found the water, icy and fresh, but the guards would not let them in.
Ru: Весь день возникали ссоры, перебранки.
En: All day disputes and arguments arose.
Ru: Вечером же всё изменилось — без выстрелов и ударов.
En: In the evening, everything changed — without shots and blows.
Ru: Илья понял, что будущее не в одиночке.
En: Ilya realized that the future cannot be faced alone.
Ru: Они решили поделить ресурс — каждому досталось своё.
En: They decided to share the resource — each got their own part.
Ru: Страхи, тревоги и разделённые трофеи создали новый мост.
En: Fears, anxieties, and shared trophies created a new bridge.
Ru: Теперь, когда грязь и тьма отступили, Илья увидел, что мир можно собрать воедино заново.
En: Now, when the dirt and darkness receded, Ilya saw that the world could be pieced together anew.
