Phillies Karen!

The internet is going nuts over the “Phillies Karen” who hijacked a home run ball from a kid. I’m Tomi Lahren, more next. It was supposed to be a perfect birthday moment. A Phillies dad rushes to grab Harrison Bader’s home run ball and hands it to his son, Lincoln. It should’ve been a sweet and endearing core memory moment.  But no. Then, out of nowhere, a woman storms in claiming the ball was hers. Despite the kid holding it, she demands it back,  and the dad gives it to her! Likely to avoid her having a total meltdown.  The internet dubbed her “Phillies Karen” and fans were not having it. It’s always so bizarre to me when adults act like that and it happens far too often at sporting events.  I don’t know her political affiliation but she sure looked like an Elizabeth Warren doppelgänger to me! Thankfully, the Marlins and Bader himself saved the day, delivering signed gear, swag bags, and a sweet birthday memory Lincoln won’t forget. Moral of the story? Don’t be a ball hog and let the kids have their moment. Also, the internet is forever!
